Blog For Week Of Feb. 9

Prompt: Who is the author? What do you know about the author? What do imagine the author to be like?

The author of the book Icefall is Matthew J. Kirby. When I first heard of this author I didn't know who he was, so I researched about him and I looked at a few of the other books he's written to see if maybe all his books are similar in some way. I found out that he writes fiction books. He has wrote seven books including: The Evening Papers, Icefall, The Clockwork Three, Cave Of Wonders, The Lost Kingdom, Spell Robbers, and The The Arctic Code. Matthew writes middle school children books. He won an Edgar Award for the best juvenile mystery in 2012 for the book Icefall.

I imagine the author to be entertaining and interesting. I think this because he writes fiction books, and I think that authors that write fiction books have more creativity and they all have a unique and interesting way of thinking even though it is fiction. Since this genre of books isn't true or possible the authors had to think of these ideas somehow so I think he would be interesting. I think he'd be entertaining too because so far in his book Icefall it is has the start of an exciting plot that seems to be able to be coming along really nicely.

I haven't read too much of Icefall, so I don't know much about it. But by the looks of it and after reading a few page it's going to be a good book. I looked at the back of the book and a lot of people said that it was a very nice story about coming of age and that it's an adventurous story. From what I heard from other people they said it was a good book. I'm guessing his other books are good too. I also think that a lot of his books could possibly be similar because they're all fiction and they all kind of has the same look to them. I would look forward to reading his other book because from looking at the covers of the books they look intriguing.
